DESCRIPTION
Private Tour
Allow us to guide you on a magical trip to the beaches of the Tuscan archipelago, which are a few hours ride from Florence. This corner of Paradise is characterized by white beaches and a crystal-clear sea. The tour departs from Florence and arrives in Talamone, an ancient town on the Gulf whose port has been an important commercial point for the Etruscans, the Romans and all throughout history. A ferry boat will be waiting for you. Enjoy the sea breeze on the 1 hour boat ride to the Giglio Island. During the ride you may relax on the boat's deck while sunbathing on comfortable seats or have a refreshing drink at the boat's bar. While traveling to the island you will admire the splendid coast of the Argentario Park. If you are lucky, you may get to see a small group of dolphins that sometimes plays alongside the boat. Once on the island you will have free time to explore the quaint little streets, colorful houses, and the lighthouse. You can choose to visit the main beaches by public transport or you can rent a scooter (both options are at your own expense). At lunch time you can chose to jump back on boat and continue travelling to Giannutri or spend the rest of the afternoon exploring Giglio Island. If you select the second option you will enjoy a 40 minute boat ride and you will see more spectacular beaches with crystal clear water. Once on the island you may also choose to join a guided tour of the Roman Villa on top of the hill (optional at your own expense). After a spectacular day immersed in history and nature, the boat will take you back to Talamone where the coach will be waiting to drive you back to Florence.
